Obituary for Peter P. Olivadoti

Peter P.  Olivadoti
Peter P. Olivadoti, 97, a lifelong resident of Long Branch, died on Friday March 9, 2018 at home. He was a graduate of Long Branch High School and graduated with a B.S in Mechanical Engineering from Rutgers University College of Engineering. His professional career was spent with Jersey Central Power & Light Co. and for more than 22 years he was the Superintendent of E.H. Werner Power Station in South Amboy, N.J.

Pete served during World War II in the 84th Infantry Division and 82nd Airborne Division and was twice wounded in combat. For his service in combat, he was awarded both The Bronze Star and The Purple Heart. During World War II while in England, Pete met Elizabeth his loving and devoted wife of 64 years.

Pete is predeceased by wife Elizabeth and his younger brother Rocco J. Olivadoti. He is survived by his devoted sons Peter and Paul, his cousins Gloria Sestito Persiponko, Rosemarie Sestito White and Mariann Ciampa and their families.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 19 from 10 am until the time of the service at 11 at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Avenue in Long Branch. Interment will follow at Woodbine Cemetery in Oceanport. Letters of condolence may be sent through the web at www.damianofuneralhome.com.
