Armindo Bagagem 74 of Long Branch, NJ passed away quickly on Wednesday April 11, 2018. He was born February 26, 1944 to Joaquim and Matilde Bagagem of Rebolaria, Portugal. He was the 4th oldest of 11 children, at the age of 19 Armindo went to serve in the Portuguese Army. Armindo meet his wife Emilia 50 years ago and they we married 48 years ago in Lobito, Angola. They then went pack to Portugal in 1975 and finally immigrated to the United States in 1980, were Armindo worked at Monmouth Rubber in Long Branch until he retired. In these 48 years, Armindo and Emilia have 2 children Sandra and Antonio, 6 grandchildren Diana, Stephanie, Kevin, Emmy, Danny, and Stella, a great-granddaughter Hailey. Armindo is also survived by his 4 brothers Jose, Abilio, Afonso, and Manny Bagagem, and 2 sisters Cristina Pedroso and Laurinda Marques.
Armindo adored spending time with his family, gardening and taking care of his pet rabbits. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 15 from 2-4 pm at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Avenue in Long Branch. Funeral Monday 9:30 am at the funeral home followed by a 10:30 am Mass at Star of the Sea Church.
