Thomas  Evancho
Thomas Evancho, age 81 of Eatontown, died on April 28, 2018 at home. Born in Eckley, PA, he had lived in Edison before moving to Eatontown a year ago. Tom was the Number One Lead Mechanic for the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in New Brunswick before retiring in 2002. He served our Country honorably in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict. Tom was a parishioner of St. Michael's Church in Long Branch. He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman and his greatest love was spending time at his cabin in Lake Wallenpaupack, PA.

Tom was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Mary Evancho, his sisters, Irene Vinci, Margaret Washelosky and Helen Evancho and his brothers, Michael, John and George Evancho. Surviving are his nieces, Mary Vallone and her husband Perry, Margaret Primavera and her husband Ralph, Paula Vinci, and Judy Vinci; his brother-in-law, Salvatore J. Vinci and 12 great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 2 from 5-8 pm at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave in Long Branch. Funeral, Thursday; 9 am at the funeral home followed by a 10 am Mass at St. Michael’s Church in Long Branch. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Piscataway.
