Constance “Tina” Donato, 89 of Long Branch, died peacefully on May 12, 2018 at home. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who had a passion to cook for her children and grandchildren. Food was, almost always, a topic of conversation in her home. Tina enjoyed shopping for the things she loved – clothes, jewelry and make up. A day didn’t go by that she didn’t clean her “little doll house”. Her favorite thing to do was sit at her kitchen table and chat with family and friends. Tina was a parishioner of Star of the Sea Church of Christ the King Parish in Long Branch.

She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Mildred Donato, her husband of 56 years, Ernest J. Donato, her son Joseph X. Donato, her brother, Louis Donato and her sister, Jeannette Costello. Surviving are her 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Dennis and Diane Donato and Phillip Donato; her 3 grandchildren, Ellen, Elizabeth and Christopher; her brother, Samuel Donato and her sisters, Rita Tomaini and Mildred Rich.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 15 from 11:30 am -12:30 pm am at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave. in Long Branch followed by a 1 pm Mass at Star of the Sea Church. Entombment will be Woodbine Mausoleum, Oceanport. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mary’s Place by the Sea, 22 Main Street, Ocean Grove, NJ 07756.
