In Memory of

Maria

Torchia

Condolences

Condolence From: Joel Rivera
Condolence: Time has a way of fading certain memories, but will also focus your thoughts on the ones of import. When I first met Cynthia it was clear in my getting to know her, the significant role that Maria “Nonna” Torchia played in her life. After a couple of dates, was I nervous to meet Nonna for the first time? Well I knew this, I couldn’t mess it up or perhaps this fledging romance would abruptly end. So yes, it almost felt like a second date another chance to make a good impression or a bad one. I still remember Nonna sitting at the kitchen table preparing a meal and the look on her face as she welcomed me and as she has always welcomed me, how she made me feel that love, a mother’s love. The unconditional love of someone put on this Earth for the most noble of all purposes, to love and care for others. May you Rest In Peace, Nanny and may your family and friends find comfort in the many cherished memories you left behind. Love always, Joel, “Joello”

Condolence: I am so saddened to hear of the passing of my Aunt Mary, she was truly the kindest most giving person I have ever known. Always there for everyone and always had a kind word for everyone. My condolences go out to her family whom she loved dearly, especially to her son Pat, Eileen, Cindy, Michael,Joel and her beloved great grandchildren Anthony and Michael. One of the highlights of my family's annual summer vacations to New Jersey was to visit our Aunt Mary. We will all miss her dearly and our visits to Jersey will never be the same. I am so proud to have been your niece. WE LOVE YOU AUNT MARY, RIP.
