Rodger F.  Burnup
Rodger F. Burnup, age 88 of Long Branch, died peacefully on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at home. Rodger was born in Newark and was a 1948 graduate of Central High School. He lived and raised his family in Aberdeen, moving to Long Branch 22 years ago. Rodger was a manager for Verizon for 35 years retiring in 1989. He served our Country honorably in the U.S. Army where he met his wife while in England.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years Patricia Stewart Burnup; 3 sons, Mark and his wife Linda, Richard and his wife Louise and Michael; his sister, Elaine Naminsky; and devoted grandfather of Caitlin, Lisa and Carly.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, June 9 from 2 pm until the time of the funeral service at 3 pm at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Avenue in Long Branch. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Habitat for Humanity International, 121 Habitat Street, Americus, GA 31709, (check memo-2018 Carter Work Program). The family invites you to write a letter of condolence, share a story or make a donation by selecting the appropriate tab.
