Barbara Habeck  Painchaud
Barbara Habeck Painchaud, 86 of Lakewood, died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on June 8, 2018. Born in Teaneck and later moved to Cliffside Park to raise her family. Barbara was a secretary for Prentice Hall Publishing in Englewood for 25 years before retiring. She was a loving mother and talented artist who enjoyed going to the beach and visits with her great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents Gaetano and Casimira Maragno, the father of her children, Robert F. Habeck, her second husband, Ernest Painchaud as well as her companion, Jack Pavelchak.

Barbara was a beautiful person inside and out and will be tremendously missed by all.

Surviving is her sister, Patricia Drobeck, her three sons, Robert and wife Marisa, John and wife Sandy, Chris and wife Christine, her nine grandsons, Robert, Kenneth and wife Lindsey, Andrew, John and wife Amy, Michael and wife Caroline, Ryan, Sean, Anthony and Joseph and six great grandchildren, Jack, Harper, Henry, Molly, Hazel and Janie.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 14 from 5-7 pm at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave. in Long Branch. Funeral, Friday, June 15; 10 am from the funeral home with a Mass celebrated at 11 am at Holy Trinity Church, Long Branch. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude's Children Hospital Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101.
