Obituary for Ceil Traversa
Ceil Traversa, age 81 of Eatontown, died peacefully on July 6, 2018 at Jersey Shore Care in Eatontown. Born in Long Branch she was a life resident. Ceil was employed by the Long Branch Board of Education as a Purchasing Agent retiring in 2010. She was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Church of Christ the King Parish in Long Branch, a member of the IAMA and the West End PTA.
Ceil was predeceased by her husband, Richard “Dicky” Traversa in 2006 and her parents, Angelo and Angie Giurlando. Surviving are her daughters, Donna Traversa and her wife Gina Chiafullo, Diane Wartmann and her husband Neil; a brother, Anthony Giurlando and his wife Donna; 2 sisters, Teresa Pacera, Marion Reichardt and her beloved granddaughter, Grace Wartmann.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 8 from 2-5 pm at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave. in Long Branch. Funeral Monday, 9:30 am at the funeral home followed by a 10:30 am Mass at Holy Trinity Church in Long Branch. Interment the will follow at Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport. The family invites you to leave a letter of condolence, light a memorial candle or make a memorial donation by selecting the appropriate tab.
