Condolence: Ali and I were friends throughout high school, traveled to Europe together and taught me to appreciate the alternative music an early 90s teen growing up on 80's pop and hair rock would never have sought out himself. She possessed the kind of intelligence that challenged other smart people to be even smarter. She never backed down. She didn’t care what anyone thought about her or what she had to say.
