Obituary for Mary Rose Kingsley

Mary Rose  Kingsley
Mary Rose Kingsley, a lifelong resident of Long Branch, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2018. Mary Rose graduated Long Branch High School in 1963 and she also graduated from Wilford Beauty Academy. At the age of 16 she went to work for Saker Shop Rite and retired after 42 years as a department manager in 2008. She loved her cat, her strays, her plants and flowers. She was a member of the Long Branch Senior Club. An avid NY Giants fan, she loved attending the games and tailgating with family and friends.

Mary Rose was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Cecilia [Russo] Sestito. She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Howard; her brother, Jimmy and his wife, Adele; brothers-in-law,, John and his wife Karen and Billy and his wife Luchia; sisters-in-law Mary and her husband Chris Kinslow and Dorothy Smith and many nieces and nephews.

A special thanks to the staff on B-5, and I.C.U. the doctors of Monmouth Pulmonary and the V.N.A. Home Team.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 7 from 4-8 pm at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave. Long Branch. Funeral Wednesday 9 am at the funeral home followed by a 10 am Mass at Holy Trinity RC Church. Entombment will be at Woodbine Mausoleum, Oceanport. The family has requested memorial donations in Mary Rose’s memory be made to the Monmouth County S.P.C.A. 260 Wall Street, Eatonotwn, NJ 07724. The family invites you to leave a letter of condolence, light a memorial candle or make a memorial donation by selecting the appropriate tab.
