Obituary for Veronica Marie Burke
Veronica Marie Burke, age 30 of Sea Bright died Friday, August 31, 2018 at Monmouth Medical Center. Veronica was born in Denver, Colorado and moved to Sea Bright at the age of 5. She was a member of St. James Episcopal Church in Long Branch and was a stenographer for Diamond and Veritext in New York. She also was an assistant cook and waitress for Harry’s Lobster House in Sea Bright. Her passion in life was dancing.
She was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Charles White, Jr. and step grandfather, Aneilo Malinconico; her paternal grandmother, Veronika Burke; her sister, Myra Lynn Pierce and uncle, Charles White, III. She is survived by her mother, Desiree Pierce and her companion Herbert Watkins; her father, Edward Burke, Sr.; her sister, Gwendolyn Burke and brother, Edward Burke, Jr.; her maternal grandmother, Gwen Malinconico; her paternal grandfather, Erwin Burke, Sr.; aunt, Monica Knox and uncle, Ronald Knox; aunt, Angie Burke and uncles, Wilbert, Erwin and Ronald Burke.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 from 9-11:30 am at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave in Long Branch followed by a 12 noon Mass at St. James Episcopal Church in Long Branch. The family invites you to leave a letter of condolence, light a memorial candle or make a memorial donation by selecting the appropriate tab.
