Patricia Ann Portella, age 79 of Oceanport died Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Bayside Manor in Keansburg. Pat was born in Ireland and had lived in Oceanport for 41 years. She and her late husband Vincenzo were the owners and operators of Enzo’s Deli and Pizza in Oceanport and previously a Nurse at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch for 25 years.

She was predeceased by her husband Vincenzo in 1994; her sister Mary Hughes and brother Eugene Gogarty. Surviving are her son and daughter in law, Sabino and Lisa Portella of Oceanport; two daughters and a son in law, Giovanna Talerico of Oceanport, Lorenza and Larry Redaelli of Monmouth Beach; her brother Patty Gogarty of Ireland; two sisters, Bridge Daley and Winnie Doyle of Ireland and 8 grandchildren, Angelina Talerico, AnnaMarie Talerico, Larry Redaelli, Jeremy Redaelli, Sarina Redaelli, Vincenza Portella, Sabino Portella and Lorenzo Portella.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 30 from 2 - 5 pm at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Avenue in Long Branch. Funeral, Monday; 8:30 am from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 am at St. Dorothea’s Church in Eatontown. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in East Orange. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, P.O.
