Patricia Gasperini, age 77 of West Long Branch, died Sunday, September 30, 2018 at the Solana at Marlboro. Born in Long Branch she had lived in West Long Branch since 1968. Pat was a music teacher for 24 years for the Middletown Board of Education and with her love of music she gave private piano lessons for just as many years to her beloved students. She was also an organist for many of our local churches for 45 years.

Pat was never without her knitting needles. She made countless blankets for her grandkids, as well as prayer shawls and newborn hats for many others. Pat had a love of holiday decorating that included her Annalee doll collection and her Department 56 Village. Each season she would spend countless hours creating a holiday display that she would proudly showcase.

She was predeceased by her husband Robert in 2014. Surviving are her son Robert Gasperini, Jr. and his wife Danielle of Fair Haven; two daughters, Lisa Diederich and her husband Robert of Pittstown, Susan Hollis and her husband Chris of West Long Branch; her sister, Joyce Davies of Bordentown and five grandchildren, Alyssa Marie, Dominic Bruno, Brianna Quincy, Hunter Evan and Marcus Anthony.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 3 from 4 - 8 pm at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Avenue in Long Branch. Family and friends are asked to go directly to the Presbyterian Church at Shrewsbury, 352 Sycamore Avenue in Shrewsbury on Thursday, October 4 for an 11:00 am service. Entombment will follow at Woodbine Mausoleum in Oceanport. In lieu flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 425 Eagle Rock Ave., Suite 203, Roseland, NJ 07068.
