Condolence: Dear Joan, You beat me to it! You were often one step ahead. Heaven is excited to have you and I am
sorry to be in FL and not to be there to wish you Godspeed. But we are forever friends and will always be together in spirit. I’m overwhelmed with memories- of our days at Rosemont -remember the knee socks and your banana diet? - of fun in Forest Hills when you were Mike’s girl before you became Mrs D, of your wonderful Washington wedding, of celebrations, anniversaries, christenings (i’m honored to be young Michael’s godmother though I’ve been remiss in duty), your unforgettable retirement party. I’m always in awe of your accomplishments: your teaching, your travels (you should have written a book on Travels with Aunt Re), your art, (I loved visiting the museum to see your pictures and treasure the one I own), your knowledge of history and politics, your unique engagement in life. I wish we could have shared another seaside lunch with Adele, Peggy and Marie, and laughed and reminisced (age and distance are too restrictive,) but we will always share a special bond. You once wrote me that love is what life is all about. You’re right! Till we meet again dear friend, my love to you and all your family, Kathy Neumann

Condolence: Sending my heartfelt condolences to all of Mrs. D’s family. I’m so very sorry for your loss. Mrs. D was such a fun and enthusiastic teacher. She would especially light up when teaching us about other cultures and that always made her classes interesting and enjoyable. I absolutely loved her stories. My favorites were always the ones about her haunted house and the radio coming on by itself when it wasn’t even plugged in. Her stories were always so intriguing that they even kept us 6th graders paying attention and waiting for more. What an amazing and unique person! I know she will be missed by so many.

Condolence: Grandma Joan was such a wonderful person. She was someone who was always so easy to talk to. I think about how my dad would always go and visit her just about everyday to talk. I know he really enjoyed those talks and they meant a lot to him. I’m sorry for your loss Peg and hope you can find comfort in thinking about how many peoples lives she has affected. ❤️

Condolence: Mrs Delehanty was Monmouth Beach in every sense of the word. I will forever remember her as my teacher at MBPS. She took us to the Opera in NYC to see La Traviata and I can still remember it vividly today. I will forever remember her.

Condolence: "Mrs. D" was the best teacher I've ever had. She conveyed her enthusiasm and love of life to all who were lucky enough to have her as a teacher. I remember vividly how she would recount details of her various trips abroad, and incorporate many of them into her assignments. She was kind, generous and very inspiring. I will miss her greatly and always remember her with a smile on my face. My most heartful sympathies go out to her entire family.
